KETTERING -- A Kettering woman is in the fight of her life against a rare form of stomach cancer. The community came together on Sunday at Apex Church for Debra Richie.
She found out last month that she has stage four cancer.
More than 500 people came to show their support to remind her that she's not alone.
Her friends say she's the one keeping all their spirits up.
"I just wanted to make sure she doesn't have to worry about money while shes trying to get better while in chemotherapy," said benefit host Amy Vandenabeele.
Richie found out about the cancer after she went to the hospital with back pains.
She is a wife and mother of two boys, ages 7 and 9.
Richie says she is relying on her faith to get her through this time.
