DAYTON -- The Dayton Fire Department will promote two professionals during a Wednesday ceremony.
Joseph J.A. Landis will be promoted to the rank of Captain. He joined the Dayton Fire Department in January 2001 as a firefighter and was promoted to Lieutenant in September 2009. He is a certified paramedic, and his training includes rescue, engine and truck operations, and life safety systems for buildings.
David A. Grub IV will be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. He joined the Dayton Fire Department in 1998 as a firefighter and is a certified paramedic and a level 2 firefighter. His training includes rescue, radio, and weapons of mass destruction.
The ceremony will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., at Fire Department Headquarters, 300 N. Main St.
