Dayton Man Indicted in Fatal DUI Crash

DAYTON -- A 26-year-old Dayton man has been indicted for causing a fatal crash July 16 in Miamisburg.

Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck Jr. said Joseph C. McGraw of Dayton was driving southbound on I-75 the afternoon of July 16, 2012, when he took the Miamisburg-Centerville Road exit and caused a four-vehicle crash.

The crash, Heck said, caused 68-year-old Robert J. Halsall's death.

McGraw has been indicted for two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide, two counts of aggravated vehicular assault, two counts of vehicular assault, two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence and one count of failure to stop after an accident.

“This defendant made the bad decision to drink and drive and consume drugs, tragically causing the death of an innocent motorist. Drugs, alcohol and driving do not mix!” Heck said.

McGraw is scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 24.
