Gas Station Burglary Suspect Arrested With Stolen Cigarettes

KETTERING -- Surveillance video led police to a suspect in an early morning burglary of a Bigger Road gas station.

Officers were dispatched to 5501 Bigger Road, the Marathon station, for a burglary alarm at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Jeffrey A. Branch, 48, of Kettering, was arrested after Kettering Police say they found evidence on the video linking him to break-in. Police said Branch smashed a front glass door and took an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.

Branch was found in his apartment at 2220 Whipp Road and arrested without incident. The cigarettes stolen from the Marathon station were recovered in his apartment, police said.

Branch was booked into the Kettering Jail on a Breaking and Entering charge.
