FAYETTE COUNTY -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash between a car and semi on I-71 at the Fayette-Greene County line.
Troopers were called to the scene just before 2pm. They said a man in his 20's lost control of his car and ended up under the rear of a semi's trailer.
The male driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Careflight was called to remove a female passenger, also in her 20's, to Miami Valley hospital. Her injuries are considered critical.
I-71 southbound traffic was shut down at between US 35 & SR 72.
Troopers are still investigating what caused him to lose control. They said the roads were dry at the time of the crash.
