DAYTON -- A clerk is injured during an attempted robbery at a Sunoco in Harrison Township.
It happened at around midnight at the gas station on Free Pike and Salem Avenue. Police say two men were trying to steal beer when one of them struck the clerk in the head with a bottle. In response, the clerk fired a shot in the air scaring off the would-be thieves. Officers are still searching for them Wednesday morning.
