KETTERING -- It's the season of giving and for families struggling to get gifts under the tree, a local boutique is offering free toys and other goods!
Workers unload the third and final truckload from the Alter High School community. Donated toys, clothing, and household goods are all packed into the Mystique Boutique in Kettering.
"Everything you see here is from Alter High School. I do have to thank some of my friends at work, they have been wonderful," said Shirin Mancham, the owner.
Shirin turned her Consignment Shop into a free holiday shop. The first giveaway was December 2nd.
"In two and a half hours, everything was wiped out," said Shirin.
This coming Saturday, December 22, she's doing it again. From Astronaut suits, to princess dresses to toys to figurines to clothing: all free.
"They need the help, that's definitely 100 percent, and your heart goes out to them because they'll even tell you, I need Christmas presents for my kids or or for my wife or for my dad."
Shirin says the community's really stepped up.
"The amounts of what they're giving is amazing. To me, that shows you people as a whole are good, very giving," said Shirin, who added that she is happy to be one of Santa's helpers.
"This will be the most amazing Christmas for me."
So calling all toys! You can drop them off from now until Saturday at the Mystique Boutique at 3801 Wilmington Pike in Kettering.
And if your family needs help, the free sharing runs Saturday from Noon until 4 pm with Santa Claus himself on hand.
If you have any questions, Shirin says please call her at 937-367-7962.
