DAYTON -- Occupy Dayton protesters were back in action today Downtown. This time their voices and signs were aimed at an international cause.
The passionate group is determined to bring attention to the violent riots in Turkey. The anti-government uproar in Istanbul all started over a public park. The Turkish Prime Minister decided to divide and sell off the green space to retailers.
Local protesters say the government has no regard for the environment or the people. One Turkish immigrant on hand tells us the gathering was heartwarming.
"The fact that they are supporting us more than our own family members and friends, that means a lot," Nazan Batista said.
Occupy Dayton says it'll continue to shed light on the cause.
