IRVING, Texas -- The Irving Independent School District is scrambling to replace its newly published yearbooks after they found a derogatory comment written about a cheerleader.
The words "Ugly hoe" were printed next to one of the girls in a group cheerleader shot.
A school spokesman said the yearbook had been proofread without the insult. And although only 13 of the 400 books were distributed, the school is considering reprinting all of the books.
According to CBS 11 in Dallas-Fort Worth, the school has found the student responsible and that person will be disciplined under the school's code of conduct.
The district hopes to have the yearbooks to students by June 6.
