TROTWOOD -- A fire breaks out on the third floor of an independent living facility in Trotwood forcing everyone inside to evacuate.
The fire broke out at Covenant Manor late this afternoon. Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire inside one of the apartments. No one was inside the apartment when the fire broke out and fortunately, the sprinkler system in the building did extinguish the flames before firefighters got there.
There is significant water damage to the apartment where the fire started. That resident will either be moved to another unit or be assisted by the Red Cross.
