TRAFFIC ALERT -- DAYTON -- US 35's nightly lane closure in both directions at the I-75 overpass will be extended until June 15th. It will take place between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m..
The closure was originally scheduled for completion June 1st.
The lane closures are due to a contractor painting a bridge in the area.
Arrow boards and signs will be in place.
An official detour for the closure:
I-75 south to the U-turn lane at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard to I-75 north to US 35 east and west.
Earlier coverage:
TRAFFIC ALERT -- DAYTON -- Beginning Monday night, April 8th, US 35 will be closed nightly in both directions at the I-75 overpass from 8pm to 6am.
There will be a break in the construction this weekend. But then starting Monday, April 15th, the construction and nightly closures will resume and last until June 1st.
