KETTERING--Kids were cutting the ribbon on a brand new environmental center.
Organizers say the center is the result of area principals and teachers working together.
The environmental center will be used to educate local students.
"People love their land, enjoy the environment, at home and it transcends through their entire life," said Mary Beth Thaman of Kettering Parks and Recreation.
The center is open to the public and features a playground,classrooms, and an observation deck in the woods.
