DAYTON--Earth Day is on Monday but some residents are already helping mother nature.
Students from the University of Dayton and residents of the Five Oaks Neighborhood worked together to clean up.
It's all a part of Dayton's "Do-It-Yourself" Program to improve the community.
Organizers say several city groups worked together for this project.
"Here's something that's not that hard, a lot of people neighbors and students can do together. It's not all that hard. You give up a few hours of your life and wind up having something to show for it," said Bill Marvin of the Five Oaks Neighborhood Association.
The Earth Day project will continue throughout the weekend.
