UPDATE: ABC 22/ FOX 45 obtained the 911 call, made by the victim's daughter about 7:30 Monday night.
Dispatcher: "West Carrollton 911"
Caller: "It's an emergency. I need a squad over at my mom's right away."
Dispatcher: "What's the address there?"
Caller: "341 Windsor Court."
Dispatcher: "Okay. What's going on?"
Caller: "I think she's dead."
Dispatcher: "Okay, did you just come over there and find her?"
Caller: "Yeah I've been trying to get a hold of her. It looks like her throats cut."
Police say King's 2005 Silver Hyundai Elantra was stolen as well as some of her things from the home. The homicide
on this quiet West Carrollton street has spooked neighbors.
"We are just plain shocked." Doris Hicks said. She and her husband Raymond have lived near Edith King for over 50 years.
The Hicks family said Edith King was a lovely lady who enjoyed spending time with her family and gardening.
"She was a sweet lady that wouldn't hurt a flea." Doris Hicks said.
"She was always working with her flowers. She kept that yard looking beautiful." Raymond Hicks said.
Police said there wasn't any signs of forced entry, and possibly knew her attacker.
Her daughter told dispatchers the door was blocked, and it was hard for her to get inside.
Dispatcher : "Does it look like anyone entered the house without permission, or anything like that?"
Caller: "I can't tell. There is a towel stuck in the door. I about never got the door open."
Police believe the killer may be traveling in the stolen 2005 Silver Hyundai Elantra with license plate BDM-9369

Edith King, 81, was found dead Monday at her Windsor Court home.
The daughter told the 911 operator she had been trying to get in touch with her mother.

WEST CARROLLTON -- Police have now classified this case as a homicide. The deputy chief says they were called to the home on Windsor Court around 7:30 p.m. on the report of a dead body. The victim is said to be the homeowner, who is an 81-year-old woman.
The victim's daughter reportedly found the woman dead in the home, although police aren't saying where the woman was in the home or how she died.
Police tell us the victim's car is also missing, along with other items in the home. Officers are now looking for a 2005 Silver Hyundai Elantra with an Ohio license plate BDM 9369. If you see this car, call 911.
Right now police say it does not appear there was any forced entry into the home.
