DAYTON -- Family and friends gathered today at the University of Dayton to protest the ruling by the university that Larry Cook committed suicide.
The university says Cook, 18, took his life by jumping from a sixth-floor window at Stuart Hall on the UD campus. The family is asking the school and police to investigate Cook's death.
"Dayton police have assigned a homicide detective, yet the school, the University of Dayton, is running articles saying that this was a suicide," attorney Christopher Chestnut said during a recent press conference.
We were at today's protest and will bring you the latest from that event online and tonight at 6 on ABC 22 News and 6:30 on FOX 45 News.
