JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP -- Three people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash along Route 4, near Manning Road, Thursday night.

Police and fire crews from several area agencies had the road closed from 11 p.m. Thursday until about 5 a.m. Friday to allow CareFlight to land and investigators to figure out what happened.

Reporter Wale Aliyu spoke with the brother of one of the people who was injured. He was on his way to the hospital after stopping at the crash scene.

"Their legs are crushed. One's completely crushed, the other, the top part is crushed on the right leg, it's bad," said Jacob Pulley of Trenton.

Neighbors say there has been three accidents on the road in the last three days.

"They've had many, many prior accidents, on this road, up and down this hill in the past years," said Anita Stephens of Jefferson Township. "A lot of speeding, I mean they don't even wait for you to turn into your driveway."

First responders from Germantown, Moraine, and Miami Township responded.
