BELLBROOK -- An early-morning blaze has destroyed a retired couple's home Wednesday morning in Lynley Drive.
Reporter Hilary Zalla spoke with the woman, who didn't want to be identified. She said she woke up just before 6 a.m. to the smell of smoke and a smoke alarm going off.
Neighbor Rick Varino said he saw a fireball 8 to 10 feet above the roof of the house before the Sugarcreek Fire Department arrived.
Fire officials say the cause could stem from Christmas decorations and are calling the house a total loss.
