DAYTON -- Police arrest two men after a chase in Dayton on Tuesday night. According to reports, the 18-year-old suspects pistol-whipped a customer at the Danner Avenue Market on Monday night, then stole his car.
Tuesday night, an officer spotted that car on Catalpa. He chased it until the suspects got out and took off on foot. They didn't get far before police stepped in.
"The officers did a great job of responding quickly, safely, securing the area, and apprehending both suspects without endangering the public," said Lt. Wendy Stiver with the Dayton Police.
One man was caught on Catalpa, the other was arrested a few blocks away on Rugby. They're facing aggravated robbery and receiving stolen property charges tonight. Their names have not been released.
