No Arrests in New Carlisle Rape, Neighbors on Alert

NEW CARLISLE- Detectives are investigating a vicious attack where a woman was raped inside her own home.
          
Deputies with the  Clark County Sheriff's office said a woman, was home alone on Orth Drive. 

Early  Saturday morning she woke up, and saw a stranger standing in her  bedroom.

According to the victim,   the man threatened he would "cut" her if she screamed.

The victim reported she was sexually assaulted, and then the suspect  left her home.
 
The attack is very  unsettling to the victim's neighbors.     

"This is unbelievable." Paul Terry said.   "I don't think I've heard of anyone being raped in this town. It just doesn't
 happen in New Carlisle."

Terry is making sure his doors are locked and he put up motion detectors.
"It's very concerning."   

 The woman  was taken to the hospital and deputies collected evidence from  the scene.
 
Terry  hopes they  make an arrest.
 
"I want this taken care of.  I want this guy captured."

The suspect was described as a dark skinned male suspect.
