PANAMA CITY -- One of the runaway teenagers from Kentucky being called a modern day "Bonnie and Clyde" faced a judge today.
Monday, Jan. 19, 2015 18-year-old Dalton Hayes faced a judge after an alleged two-week long adventure that ended over the weekend. Someone recognized Hayes and his 13-year-old accomplice then called in the tip.
The United States Marshals and police located him and his girlfriend asleep in a stolen truck that was parked behind an IHOP in Florida.
Dalton was scared, and Dalton wanted to come home. And, um. she voiced the same thing to me," said Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins.
The teens will be sent back to Kentucky separately and face a number of charges that will likely include burglary and criminal mischief.
Hayes could also be charged with statutory rape and kidnapping.
