SUMNER COUNTY -- The family of an 8-year-old boy has sued the school district after their child was put in a straitjacket.
Last year in Tennessee the little boy hit a teacher. His family admits what he did was wrong but they said what the school did was even worse.
They said the teacher confined him in that that straitjacket until police were able to haul him off to jail.
"He has to sleep with a pull-up on because he has nightmares, he will pee on himself and he's scared to see cops," said Larry Garnito.
The family of that child said he does have emotional and developmental issues. They are now demanding a half million dollars.
The school said it can't comment at this time due to the pending litigation.
