KETTERING -- Some vacant and for sale properties in Kettering have become targets for thieves.
Kettering police are looking into a rash of break-ins in their city, while Oakwood police are investigating similar incidents.
Investigators say crooks are staking out foreclosed homes and ones with "For Sale" signs in the yard.
The thieves have stolen everything from copper pipes to refrigerators to washers and dryers from these homes.
"We're hoping neighbors will be vigilant of those homes that are vacant in their neighborhood.", Officer Ron Roberts of the Kettering Police department told us.
If you see anything suspicious around vacant or for sale properties, call police.
