DAYTON -- A record snow storm is hitting the East Coast right now, with some areas, including Boston, expecting three feet of snow. The Miami Valley is sending help to those affected by the monster storm. Dayton Power and Light has sent dozens of crew members to the area to assist in getting power restored if and when it is knocked out.
According to DP&L Director of Operations Bruce Coppock, they've been
helping out in multiple states for a few days now, "We've sent thirty folks up to the great state of Michigan, which has since been returned because the weather ended up being better than anticipated. We've also sent sixty tree trimmer personnel to the East Coast and the Connecticut area."
Coppock added that DP&L has plenty of crews right here at home, in case we get any severe weather over the next several days.
