MIAMI TWP.--A father of three called police after catching a man watching porn, while on the job.
Tony Boykin was shopping a the Dayton Mall with his kids, when he saw a man working at the Dayton Daily News Kiosk.
Boykin said the man was looking at pornographic images on his i-Pad.
"At first I couldn't believe it. I was pretty much shocked. Its pretty disgusting." Boykin said.
Boykin said the man at the kiosk was just feet away from the kids play area.
He snapped a couple more pictures and alerted mall security, and called police.
Miami Township Police came out and investigated and ended up arresting the man.
"He was arrested and then released pending further investigation, because there are things we need to look into." Miami Twp. Detective Mike Siney said.
Detectives confiscated the man' s i-Pad for further investigation.
Police said its illegal to look at porn in public, especially with children so close by.
The man could be facing numerous charges including disseminating harmful matter to juveniles.
Late Friday afternoon, The Dayton Daily News issued this statement:
The Dayton Daily News is aware of the incident in question. We certainly do not condone this kind of unacceptable behavior.
The person, who was an employee of a contractor of the Dayton Daily News, was immediately removed and is no longer affiliated in any way with his company or the Dayton Daily News.
It is our understanding that the person in question is also banned from the Dayton Mall. We appreciate the cooperation of the Dayton Mall and extend our sincerest apologies to anyone who may have witnessed the alleged incident.
Because he has been charged, the matter is now in the hands of the legal system and we have no further comment on the matter.
