WILBERFORCE--It was a celebration in Wilberforce today as the Afro-American Museum re-opened their doors to show off new renovations.
The museum, located right next to Central State University, held a special event featuring live music and food.
Today all visitors got a chance to tour the museum free of charge.
The newest gallery was named after the museum's founding director, John Fleming.
"We initially decided to collect 20th century materials, especially artifacts and artwork relating to the period from 1945 to 1975," John Fleming said.
As visitors walk through the exhibit , they'll see that each section is highlighted by a specific time period.
The museum is open every Wednesday through Saturday.
