HUBER HEIGHTS -- Two people are taken to the hospital after a fire breaks out at a home in Huber Heights.
When crews got on scene shortly after 6:00 PM on Saturday, they found a large amount of fire coming out from the back of the house.
The fire had already spread up into the attic, so crews went with a defensive attack to put out the flames.
Assistant Fire Chief Mark Ashworth said, "We did come upon two individuals that we believe were acquaintances of the homeowners, they had minor injuries, both were transported to Miami Valley Hospital with minor burns and some minor smoke inhalation."
Right now, fire crews are saying the blaze is suspicious and investigators from the state fire marshal's office were called out to inspect the scene.
