MIAMI TOWNSHIP -- A brand new tenant at Austin Landing officially opening Thursday, but Wednesday afternoon, our Annette Peagler was granted exclusive access.
Peagler has the inside scoop on how you can get some free groceries.
"Anything you may possibly need is inside one location," said Clint Rose, Austin Landing Kroger store manager.
In the final stretch before Kroger's grand opening, employees and construction workers put some of the final touches to make sure this store is perfect for customers tomorrow.
Kroger executives say when they were designing the store, convenience and the customer were their top priorities.
"We do have the wine bar, we have chef on the run, we have fresh sushi, the soup bar, the beverage center, our pharmacy, US Bank in this store," said Rose.
Rose said Kroger wanted to put a variety of services in one building, so the customer doesn't have to travel anywhere else.
The store also has a produce section and a bistro with fully prepared meals for your family. The goal is to appeal to busy lifestyles.
"Soccer practice and now it's basketball, but the bottom line is we're here for the family and we're here for the couples and we're here for the individuals to make their shopping experience a convenient success," said Scott Haley, Executive Chef.
The store is in a prime location, that's booming and can get a little congested, but Kroger officials say they promise to get people in and out.
Customers like Don Ary is particularly happy for the Kroger fuel center where he can utilize his fuel points, without traveling far to do it.
"I love it because we would go to Centerville, or Lebanon, or Middletown before or wherever we happened to be, this is just a couple of miles down the road so, it's handy," said Don Ary, from Springboro.
The store opens at 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning. An official ribbon cutting is at 8:00 a.m. The first 300 customers will receive a $10 gift card.
