DAYTON -- Residents, neighborhood organizations and businesses can learn more about essential City services and resources at a series of workshops presented by the City of Dayton Department of Planning and Community Development. The 2013 Community Engagement Workshops are free and held at the Dayton Cultural Center, 40 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Each workshop lasts about 90 minutes.
February 2, 11:00 a.m. - Grant writing basics (open to neighborhood associations/groups and business associations).
February 26, 5:30 p.m. - Environmental management/water resource protection.
March 23, 10:00 a.m. - Neighborhood clean-up training and lottery.
March 26, 5:30 p.m. - Public Works services including waste collection/recycling, street maintenance and civil engineering.
April 30, 5:30 p.m. - Active recreation opportunities (with Five Rivers MetroParks).
May 28, 5:30 p.m. - Training for Dayton Delivers, the City of Daytons new customer service application.
June 25, 5:30 p.m. - Liquor permit process.
July 30, 5:30 p.m. - Lot Links/REAP.
August 27, 5:30 p.m. - Neighborhood Stabilization Programs I, II, III.
September 30, 5:30 p.m. - City Commission/legislative process and local government.
October 29, 5:30 p.m. - Economic development.
