EATON -- A Columbus man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they seized 2.5 kilos of heroin, valued at more than $370,000 during a traffic stop in Preble County.

Troopers stopped a rented 2012 Dodge Charger, with Florida registration, for an unsafe lane change violation, on Interstate 70, near milepost 6, at 12:54 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers say the driver was driving without a valid license. Other criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the 2.5 kilos of heroin concealed in the false bottom of a piece of luggage.

Juan Carlos Arcos, 23, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of criminal tools, both felonies. He was also cited with driving without a valid license and making an unsafe lane change and incarcerated in the Preble County Jail. If convicted he could face up to 11 years in prison and up to a $22,500 fine.
