About 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, West Chester police began a pursuit on Tylersville Road after an officer noticed a 2005 Nissan Sentra that had been reported stolen. The driver, later identified as Trevon D. Broomfield, 21, of Dayton, reportedly refused to stop and drove onto I-75 North.
Broomfield drove at speeds exceeding 100 mph. That's when the Ohio State Highway Patrol joined the pursuit.
