DAYTON-- A drive-by shooting sends one man to the hospital, for a gunshot wound to his arm.
Norm Hart told ABC 22/FOX 45 he was shot when he was going after his dog, who got loose, right behind his home on Rockwood Avenue.
Hart said a dark colored SUV, possibly a Range Rover, pulled up in the ally behind his home and the driver shot him in his arm. Hart said he he feels lucky to be alive.
"I could've been hit in the side, or in the back. Instead it hit me in my arm. I could be dead, for nothing, for nothing at all."
Hart spent the day at the hospital getting his arm bandaged. He said he knows he was the wrong target. "I was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
He wants his neighbors to be on the look out. "Just be careful." He said.
Dayton police are investigating.
