Two Girls, 17, Arrested for Possession of Ecstasy in Lima

LIMA -- Two 17-year-old girls are facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they seized 155 Ecstasy pills, worth nearly $5,000, during a traffic stop in Allen County.

Troopers say they stopped a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis, with Ohio registration, for a turn signal violation in Lima at 11:08 p.m. Monday. They report observing criminal indicators when an Allen County Sheriffs Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the Ecstasy pills.

The driver is from Detroit, Mich., and the passenger is from Lima. Neither is being identified because of their age.

Each was charged with possession of a schedule I substance. Both were incarcerated in the Allen County Juvenile Jail.
