Substation Transformer Moving Friday Morning; Expect Traffic Delays

FAIRBORN -- Dayton Power and Light on Friday will be moving a new substation transformer from Fairborn to Beavercreek along several Greene County roads. The large equipment will take up two lanes of traffic and likely will cause delays along the route.

DP&L says motorists traveling from East Xenia Drive in Fairborn along I-675, to Dayton-Yellow Springs Road, Trebein Road and Dayton-Xenia Road may experience delays. The move will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the railroad tracks near East Xenia Drive in Fairborn.

DP&L says it makes investments in new equipment, such as the new substation transformer, to ensure reliability of its system and to provide the safest and most dependable service for its customers. The company thanks motorists in advance for their patience for any delay this might cause.
