DAYTON -- Delta Air Lines has begun daily non-stop service between Dayton International Airport (DAY) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), which began Thursday.
Weekend service includes one Saturday morning origination at 7 a.m. and one Sunday evening origination at 6:50 p.m.
âThis is great news for the business community in the Dayton Region. A lot of hard work went into making this flight possible again. Itâs good when the region comes together to work on a common issue,â said Jeffrey Hoagland, president and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition.
The flights to LaGuardia are important to the Dayton regionâs business community, said Phil Parker, President & CEO of the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
âFor the past six months more than 100 passengers a day have been impacted by the lack of convenient and reliable service to LGA. I am certain that I can speak for these passengers in thanking Delta for recognizing and resolving this issue. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Sen. Sherrod Brown, Congressman (Mike) Turner and our regional partners for their continual support as we worked together to share our message with Delta Air Lines,â said Terrence G. Slaybaugh, Director of Aviation for the City of Dayton.
Flights will depart daily on weekdays from Dayton at 7 a.m. and 6:50 p.m.
