DAYTON--Homicide detectives are following up on good leads after a single mother was shot and killed on Christmas Eve.
The victim wrote on Facebook, how she feared for her life, just days before she was murdered.
On Christmas Eve, 27- year-old Lafrances Golden was found dead inside her apartment on Ryburn Avenue.
Golden died from a gunshot wound to her head, according to the Montgomery County Coroner's Office.
"She was a single mom, she was a beautiful person. And she turned her life around." Golden's Aunt, Bella Monegan said.
Monegan said for the past several weeks, her niece had been living in fear of a group of people who had been harassing her and trying to push her out of her home.
"They broke into her apartment. They wanted her to move. They took tvs, her Christmas tree, her presents. They was letting her know its time to go."
Golden's last posts on Facebook are chilling. Just days before her murder she writes :
"221 ryburn ave n dayton ohio- self defense!!! is da story of ma life. look fo it on tv n da up n coming days!
somebody please help me n my baby get outa here,please help us,im going crazy cuz they keep breakn n ma home n i just wana get us away fm here."
Monegan said it got so bad, Golden's 3- year daughter came to live with her, and the little girl was not in the apartment at the time of the shooting.
"I just pray the police catch them and get them off the streets so they won't hurt anyone else."
