Plow Drivers Catching up in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY -- Parts of Montgomery County saw up to nine inches of snow on Wednesday.

Throughout the day, people were shoveling snow to try and keep areas clean.

Wednesday was supposed to be a big day for retailers, instead, the weather took over.

Boston Stoker in Clayton was expecting a busy day Wednesday.

Derek Dunavent says he probably saw 20 customers all day.

"We're here to serve them if they do come in," said Dunavent.

For others though, business fell everywhere.

Bruce Meador spent more than 12 hours plowing private parking lots on Wednesday.

"I started probably around 7-8 a.m. I have been pretty busy since then,," said Meador.

Authorities still ask that you avoid the roads Wednesday night if you can because roads will turn to ice.
