MIAMI COUNTY--The Miami County Sheriff's Office issued a level 2 snow emergency around noon on Wednesday.
Level 2 means roads are dangerous, and only drive if absolutely necessary.
"Its rough out here." Alan Hapney said. "And its getting rougher too."
Hapney has been on the roads since early morning. He is headed to Detroit.
"We've counted about 36 vehicles off the road so far."
"The blowing snow is bad. Its the worst." Lisa Moore said.
Drivers had to pull over every 30 minutes or so, to keep
their windshield wipers clean.
ODOT snow plows worked hard all day trying to keep up with the storm.
Troopers from the Piqua Post of the State Highway Patrol said there have been dozens of slide- off's and accidents in Miami County, but no serious injuries have been reported.
"Everybody needs to slow down." Moore said.
State Troopers said if you get stuck or have car trouble dial #677 on your phone and wait in your car until help arrives.
