DAYTON -- Winter weather is on its way to the Miami Valley. Not good timing for those planning on heading home after the holiday.
Ohio State Patrol wants to remind everyone to plan ahead if you're going to be driving the roads at all. If you are, troopers say slow down and make sure you use your headlights at night and in bad weather.
They also want to remind drivers to keep a safe distance between you and other vehicles.
"If roads get too icy, or snowy, we encourage everyone to stay home, unless they need to go out and if you do go out, leave extra time," said OSP Trooper Jake Pyles.
OSP says they will will be on the lookout for impaired drivers leaving holiday parties.
