MIAMISBURG -- T'was the day before Christmas and all through the mall, people doing last minute shopping because they had stalled.
"We are actually on the way to find one more gift," shopper Kelly Hackitt said.
"We're doing some last minute Christmas shopping," said shopper Bryant Hill.
"It's always that way every year," said shopper Sarah Mail.
She has about a dozen people she needs to buy presents for.
"Boots and a tablet," her daughter Kmya said.
So she spent a couple hours shopping at several different stores.
"And then we have to get home and make sure everything is wrapped before tonight," said Mail.
While some people came to celebrate the season,
The procrastinators say they have a good reason.
"Money, money held us up," Hill said.
"Today was the only day that was convenient for me," said shopper Eric Bryant. "I didn't do any Black Friday shopping and I like to procrastinate so this is the way I usually like to shop anyway."
"This is kind of rare normally I'm on top of it but this year has been really last minute," Hackitt said.
"If you still haven't done your Christmas shopping you are just about out of time. The Dayton mall closes at 6 o'clock Monday and won't reopen until 7:00 am Wednesday.
However, Target will be open until 9:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and K-Mart and Toys 'R' Us are open until 10:00 p.m.
