MIAMI TOWNSHIP -- It was the last name the President read at a vigil on Sunday. Allison Wyatt, just six years old, is the granddaughter of a Miami Township couple, Bill and Joyce Wirtz.
"When I heard Allison's name, my husband and I both sat here with tears running down our face," said neighbor, Stephanie Larkin.
Larkin says Allison was just in town this past summer, "they came over and borrowed one of our bikes, Joyce was trying to teach Allison how to ride the two wheeler, but didn't have too much success this summer."
It's those memories that show the innocence of Allison Wyatt and her classmates at Sandy Hook Elementary School...
Pictures of Allison haven't been released, but her name is on every tribute.
Her grandparents, members of the Saint Henry Church are described as faithful followers..
"Bill is involved with Knights of Columbus, Joyce is a communion distributor," said Larkin.
Larkin says she found out Friday about Allison.
"I came home and there was an email from Joyce, saying they were on their way to Connecticut because their granddaughter was one of the kids killed in the shooting in Connecticut," said Larkin.
