AFGHANISTAN -- A local contractor working in Afghanistan hasn't forgotten his Ohio roots.
Doug Perkowski is showing off his Bengals pride half a world away while in Afghanistan.
It all started as a last hurrah before leaving for the war zone. The Kettering native bought front-row seats to the Bengals-Steelers game at Paul Brown Stadium and he decided to dress up his homemade superhero suit.
Perkowski decided to take that costume with him, and now no matter where he is, he can still support his team.
He says the local Afghan adults aren't sure what to make of the costume but the kids love it. He posted photos of him in Afghanistan and in costume and has been getting lots of support and well-wishes.
