OXFORD -- The Division of State Fire Marshal has teamed up with the Oxford Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in solving a possible arson case.
On Saturday, May 25, a fire broke out at Miami University's Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house on E. High Street.
A reward is now being offered for information leading to the identification of the person(s) who may be responsible. The Blue Ribbon Arson Committee is offering up to $5,000.
State Fire Marshal Larry Flowers says, "it is imperative that someone come forward with information. Investigators want to hear from anyone who saw something out of the ordinary at or around the time of the fire or who may have heard someone speaking about the fire with an unusual level of interest or knowledge."
Anyone with information is asked to call the State Fire Marshal at 1-800-589-2728 or the Oxford Police Department at 513-524-5268.
