WARREN COUNTY -- A man who stole nearly $440,000 from the Springboro Boosters has been sentenced today. A judge sentenced former booster president and treasurer Thomas Harves to three months in jail with a work release.
Harves admitted to embezzling the money over an eight year period. He must also pay back the money he still owes.
The Springboro Boosters lost their non-profit tax exempt status when Harves failed to report their finances to the IRS. They're now in the process of trying to get that status restored.
