Digital Dementia: A New Problem for Teens

UNDATED -- An alarming new study out of South Korea suggests a link between technology and short term memory loss researchers are calling it digital dementia.

They blame smart phones and gaming devices for the problem, because young people rely so much on the devices and aren't developing their brains.

Researchers are mainly seeing the trend in teens, they say teens are glued to their smartphones or are spending a lot of time in front of the screen, playing video games. Most video game plots aren't meant to keep your brain focused, so when it comes to remembering important information, young people's brains are out of practice.

They say the best thing everyone can do is regularly exercise both sides of you brain.
