MASON -- A man is in jail after getting busted taking videos of children at Kings Island.
Police arrested 37-year-old Rodney Grisham of Texas on July 3.
They say security officers at the amusement park thought he was acting strangely and confronted him.
"Just looking at a person you don't know what they're really like anywhere you are, there could be someone that can harm a child or harm an adult," said Debbie Wood.
Once security confronted him they were surprised to find he had a small camera attached to his glasses and that's how they say he was recording the kids.
"I'm sure that if he was there doing it, he done did it before," said John Booker.
But that's not all, once in the parking lot, officers searched his tractor trailer and found kids' toys, a loaded gun, a Taser and an ax.
"There's really no safe place," said Wood.
"I thought Kings Island was a more friendly and safer place than that, there's a lot of kids around there," said Nick Cameron.
In court, prosecutors convinced a judge that Grisham is a dangerous man, and had the intention of abducting a child.
In fact, while at the park, police say he tried to grab a 2-year-old boy. Luckily, the toddler's older brother was there, didn't let go of the little one and ran to their parents.
"I'd say I was shocked," said Kevin Lewis. "But really I'm not shocked with the way the world is today. It's not really shocking that someone would try to do that."
But it is a reminder to parents that times have changed.
"Reconsider just letting your kids be able to do that," said Lewis. "When I was a kid, I was able to do that; didn't have to worry about anything, but nowadays it's a shame, it really is a shame."
Grisham is now in jail on a $200,000 bond.
Prosecutors say he had a prior sex charge on his record, but he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge because the victim didn't want to testify.
