SCAM ALERT: Shelby County Sheriff's deputies say grandparents across the area are receiving phone calls from people pretending to be their grandchildren on vacation.
Officers say the scammers watch teens' social media accounts. When the teens post they're out of town the crooks move in, asking the grandparents to wire them money.
