UPDATE: OSP: Pilot Error in Fatal Air Show Crash (READ OSP REPORT)

DAYTON -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol completed its investigation into the deadly Air Show crash and concluded it appears to be pilot error.

Wing-walker, Jane Wicker, and her pilot, Charlie Schwenker, were both killed instantly when the plane crashed just before one o'clock on the Saturday of the Air Show.

Their investigation revealed the plane, which was low to the ground, stalled mid-stunt, causing it to crash. Exactly what caused the stall is for the feds to figure out.

"Our agency does not dissect the aircraft post-crash. We're not looking into the structure and that kind of stuff. We leave that information to the agency who has the knowledge on plane crashes, so even though we have it as pilot error - that could change," said Sgt. Jeff Kramer, with the Dayton Post.

OSP's findings have already been forwarded onto FAA and NTSB investigators, and the NTSB will be the final determining agency on what went wrong. Kramer pointed out several times that OSP's findings could differ from the federal investigation which could take another six months.
