MIAMI COUNTY -- A Detroit man is accused of drug possession after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say they found marijuana and mushrooms during a traffic stop June 27 on I-75.
The driver, Kaunda E. Johnson-Hancock IV, is charged with possession of marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, both fifth-degree felonies and possession of hash, a minor misdemeanor.
Troopers say they pulled over a 2001 Volvo for an improper turn violation on I-75 near milepost 83 in Miami County. They say they detected an odor of raw marijuana and then found two bags of marijuana and a container of hashish in the driver's pocket. Troopers also found found grams of psilocybin mushrooms, four marijuana cigarettes, drug paraphernalia and an additional two pounds of marijuana.
The contraband has a street value of $9,300.
