CELINA -- A Mercer County woman was killed Thursday when her vehicle reportedly ran a stop sign and crashed into a semi-tractor trailer.
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office says Michelle R. Bruns, 36, of Maria Stein, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Investigators say Bruns' 2010 Lexus was traveling southbound on State Route 118 about 5:39 p.m. when it ran the stop sign at State Route 29 and collided with the semi, driven by Thomas L. Sims Jr, 36, of Indianapolis.
Brunsâs Lexus became lodged under the tractor trailer, deputies say, and was dragged west of the intersection. Both vehicles came to rest on State Route 29, west of the intersection.
Sims was not injured in the crash.
