CLARK COUNTY -- Runners from across the country are still helping victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, including some here in the Miami Valley.
Runners in New Carlisle were ready to hit the pavement Monday night as they were passing the baton in the One Run for Boston. Their leg went from New Carlisle through Springfield. The run was set up by the mayor of Boston and began in Los Angeles on June 7.
Along the way runners are collecting donations that will go to assist the victims and families of the April 15 bombing.
"To be able to support this cause and honor those people and keep the spirit of the Boston marathon alive, I feel so honored to be part of this," Lisa Duffy told us.
The relay will finish in Boston on June 30.
